 Let's face it, diets don't work.

You may be one of a growing number of people who are realising that conventional diets don't work. You may lose weight in the short term, but the feelings of deprivation soon become too much. When this happens willpower alone is not enough to overcome the cravings and old eating habits soon return. The weight piles back on again and often more than you lost.

Why diets don't work.

The reason diets don't work is that they don't tackle the reasons why we find it so difficult to eat only an amount of food that our body needs to be fit and healthy. Why is it so difficult? Those who struggle with their weight often eat when emotionally hungry rather than when they are physically hungry. That is, they eat when they are bored, upset, anxious, stressed, angry etc. The so called ‘comfort eating'.

Diets don't tackle the emotional aspect of over eating.

Most people who have weight to lose agree that the most challenging part of losing weight is having a plan you can stick to. All the time. Easily. So you can lose excess weight and know you never need diet again .

If you don't have a proven system for losing weight and keeping it off, your results can be up and down, quite literally. Not to mention leaving you feeling depressed, despondent and deprived of food you love. The trouble is, most people think that dieting is the only way to lose weight and become slim.

In this world of slimming, diets, calorie counting and watching weight, wouldn't you love to be free from thinking about food and focus on living a wonderful life instead?

Then I've got some good news for you!

You see, despite these challenges, there are people just like you who have found a much easier way to lose weight , and maintain their weight loss. And all without dieting, diet pills, being deprived of favourite food or turning down invitations to socialise .

Katherine's Story

I put on a lot of weight during pregnancy over five years ago. Although I was able to lose small amounts of weight periodically, I was struggling to achieve consistent weight loss.

I heard about Tap Yourself Slim but I was sceptical at first even though I am open to energy medicine. I just couldn't see how tapping would make any difference and initially my scepticism put me off joining the class. What I didn't realise at first was that the TYS programme brings together all the necessary aspects of losing weight.

On the first evening we tapped on food cravings. I was finding it hard to stop snacking in the evenings so I focussed on that. This worked straight away and I easily stopped eating in the evenings. I lost weight straight away. The tapping offers a quick relief to food cravings which made a real quick start to losing weight. This convinced me that the tapping was something extraordinary and to continue doing it, no matter what!

I use tapping for everything now. I've seen it work for headaches, realeasing negative emotions like anxiety. I've also used it with my five year old son and it's brilliant.

The support group was very welcome after the programme finished. I was enjoying the programme so much I didn't want it to end, in fact I had to tap on that issue too! The support group sessions helped me stay focussed and committed, but most of all they helped me reach my overall goal.

A lot of people may think the concept ‘too good to be true'. I agree it is strange but I can definitely vouch for it being very very true. I encourage everyone to try it as you've got nothing to lose – except weight, and you can have a lot of fun doing it.

The only thing I'd add is that it works best when you do some daily tapping, if not, you don't give it a chance to work.

Linda, my TYS slimming coach, always knows just what to say – she's very gifted in EFT and specifically in conveying the weight loss principles. She also has a fabulous sense of humour, making sure you just won't want the programme to end!

I also liked how you had the opportunity to have some individual tapping each week on anything that you were particularly struggling with. Therefore you have the benefit of being in a small group and feeling the support of others plus you get some individual attention. Excellent.
